We love to doodle: I doodle in my pocket sketchbook; he doodles in walls.
"Global City" is a new project by the graffiti artist Deck Two; A wall containing a great deal of monuments from all over world depicting the idea of civilization using a black marker only.

A Trip To Turkey!

I've mentioned before that I had a trip to Turkey for two lovely weeks. For me, Turkey isn't a lovely place only, yet an inspiring place as well! I got inspired in each step foot I left there, and I'm welling to show u some of Turkey's inspiration in the next post inshallah. If u have ever get a chance to visit this heaven land don't hesitate for a moment, don't think how full of Saudis it's.. just go.. go without even thinking!

I've been to two great mosques, Hagia Sofia and The Blue Mosque "Sultan Ahmet". Hagia Sofia was the delight of my trip because I had the chance to hire a tourist guide who gave me a live art history session, and u all know I'm high on art history plus Islamic Architecture.
In the photo u must have recognized that the ceiling contains both Islamic and christian symbols; The two Arabic calligraphy signs "Allah" and "Mohammed", and in the middle an illustration of the christian conception of Mary which is indeed something awkward. As well known, Hagia Sofia was a church in the first place then it was converted into a mosque after the Islamic conquest. Back then, all the christian symbols and icons were totally covered and the Islamic icons were added. But when Ataturk ruled Turkey, he decided to convert the mosque into a museum in order to resolve the dispute between christians and muslims, so he uncovered all the christian symbols again.
